My state of licensure in New Jersey. I am familiar with the state’s nurse practice act (NPA) to a significant extend. I understand that the state must protect people receiving care by ensuring nurse licensing. The NPA guides the nursing practice to ensure it is safe and highly competent. I also know that the NPA is made up of general statements of the appropriate professional actions in nurses. The nurses must incorporate the NPA with their educational background, institutional policies, previous work experience, and technological advancements.
