During my childhood, sex education from my parents was an impossible thing to happen. In fact, it was considered as a taboo in my culture for a parent to discuss sexuality with their children. Instead, sexuality was only allowed to be taught in schools. Nonetheless, after I migrated to the US, almost two decades ago, I was shocked by the level of openness parents and their children had with regards to sex education.
